Arthur John Comeau
(May 16th, 1961 - September 3rd, 2023)
Arthur John Comeau was born on May 16th, 1961 in Manchester, NH and passed away September 3rd, 2023 in Oceanside, CA at the age of 62. Beloved husband of Donna (Smith) Comeau and father to their children, A.J. and Hannah Comeau, whom he loved beyond measure. Art is survived by his parents Reverend Dr. Arthur “Bill” (JoAnne) Comeau of Cranston, RI and Ruth (Lansing) Reed of New London, NH. Arthur is deeply missed by all of his brothers and sisters; Jeanne Murphy (Carmen), Catherine Bonas (Tom), Daniel (Jacqueline) Comeau, Bruce (Amy) Meacham, Elizabeth Comeau, Kim Meacham (Mauro), Alexandra (Barry) Schnyder, Jennifer Meacham, and his "brothers from another mother"-cousins Ron (Cindy) Comtois and Charlie (Jennifer) Comtois. Additionally, Art was well-loved by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
After graduating from Exeter High School in 1979, Arthur attended the University of Connecticut, as well as Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Art was the embodiment of a creative entrepreneur, who pursued many different business ventures throughout his life. Though much of Art’s career was in marketing and sales, in truth his work was music. Art was a highly-skilled musician and vocalist, who was passionate about his craft and naturally attracted like-minded artists everywhere he went. In recent years, Art became involved with a vibrant community of local muscians, both forming bands as well as playing alongside friends throughout Southern California and the west. The beach was Art’s happy place and he found a home in many over the course of his considerable travels. He enjoyed surfing, fishing and boating but often Art could be found contented strumming his guitar on the sand; singing out to the sea, admiring the gentle curve of the horizon. We will forever cherish Art's quick wit, infectious smile and the warmth and kindness that radiated from his eyes.
A private memorial will be held in New Hampshire in October and a celebration of life is taking place in Encinitas,CA on Sunday, September 17th from 4pm -7pm.
