Jesse Getzie

Jesse Getzie of Oceanside CA passed away on February 25th 2023 at home. His dream was to move from the cold winters of Wisconsin to Southern California and on March 1st 2022 that dream came true. He loved the pier and lifestation #5 which he and his wife would frequent.

Jesse, son of Cindy and Bob Fuhrmann lived in River Falls WI before moving to Oceanside. Jesse worked as a DevOps consultant and Dojo Coach and was very passionate about his career. He worked his way up from being in a data center to leading large teams in immersive learning and best practices. He was a brilliant man.

Jesse loved being outdoors and enjoyed camping, hiking and kayaking. One of his favorite places was Yosemite Falls where he proposed to his wife. He loved watching his daughter play volleyball and go fishing with his son.

He is survived by his wife Shantina Getzie, children Macy Getzie and Tyrrel Getzie and his feline companion Harley “Ci-Ci”. Mother Cindy Fuhrmann, Step father Bob Fuhrmann, Brother Jason Getzie, and best friend Matt Peterson; extended family and friends in both River Falls WI and Oceanside, CA.
